Wholesale Body Wave Bundles: Premium Steam-Processed Virgin Hair
The #1 salon staple. High-retention “S” pattern crafted via chemical-free steam processing. Available in Single to Super Double Drawn grades for maximum fullness.
The Science of the Perfect “S”
Why do some body waves drop straight after one wash? It comes down to the processing method. We use high-pressure steam, not harsh chemicals.
Chemical Perm (Market Standard)
Uses acid bath to force curl. Strips the cuticle, leading to dryness, matting, and a strong chemical odor.
Steam Process (Our Standard)
Uses high-temperature steam (4+ hours) to lock in the wave memory. Keeps cuticles intact and hydrated.
The “Wash Test” Guarantee
A common fear is that Body Wave hair will become bone straight after washing. Our steam-processed bundles are engineered to recover.
Grading & Thickness: The “Ratio” Reality
Stop guessing with meaningless “10A/12A” labels. We grade our body wave bundles based on the Drawn Ratio—the percentage of full-length strands in each bundle.
Single Drawn
30% Long RatioNatural taper at the ends. Mimics natural hair growth. Cost-effective choice for budget markets.
Double Drawn
50% – 60% RatioThe industry standard. Significantly fuller ends while maintaining a natural flow. Ideal for N. American salons.
Super Double
70% – 80% RatioMaximum density from root to tip. “Zero taper” look. Created for luxury installs and celebrity styling.
“12A” means nothing if the ends are thin. A Double Drawn bundle ensures your clients don’t have to trim 2 inches off the bottom to get a full look, reducing complaints about the “Rat Tail” effect.
“Bundle Deals” Logic: Inventory Strategy
Body Wave bundles are typically sold in “3+1” sets (3 Bundles + 1 Closure). Understanding the weight-to-length ratio ensures you recommend the correct quantity to your clients.
The Standard 300g Rule
A standard full-head install requires approximately 300 grams of hair. Since each bundle weighs ~100g, “3 Bundles” became the industry standard. However, as length increases, the weft track becomes shorter to maintain weight, requiring more bundles for density.
| 10″ – 14″ Bob / Shoulder Length | 2Bundles |
| 16″ – 22″ Standard Mid-Back Length | 3Bundles |
| 24″ – 30″+ Waist / Hip Length | 4Bundles |
| *Note: Always add +1 bundle if not using a closure/frontal. |
Complete the Look: Texture-Matched Lace
Don’t ruin a premium install with a mismatched closure. Our lace systems are steam-processed in the exact same batch as our bundles to ensure perfect “S-Pattern” continuity.
Why Batch Matching Matters
Buying bundles from one vendor and closures from another is a recipe for disaster. Body wave textures vary by factory. We guarantee a 100% texture match because our frontals undergo the same 4-hour steam process as the bundles.

Why the “Corn Chip” Smell is Good
It sounds counterintuitive, but a faint smell resembling corn chips is a positive sign for Body Wave hair. This indicates the hair was steam-processed using corn starch as a heat protectant, rather than being soaked in an acid bath. Acid-processed hair smells chemically sweet or like rotten eggs (masked by perfume).
Cheap Body Wave is often just straight hair braided tightly and boiled for 30 minutes. This wave drops permanently after one wash. Always perform the Heat Recovery Test on a sample before placing a bulk order.
