Wholesale Lace Closures: High-Definition (HD) & Transparent Swiss Lace
Engineered for the perfect “Melt.” Featuring pre-plucked gradual hairlines, tiny knots, and durable double-stitch reinforcement. Available in 4×4 to 7×7 sizes.
The Size Guide: 4×4 vs 5×5 vs 6×6
Why is the 5×5 closure trending? It offers the “Deep Side Part” capability of a frontal without the glue or maintenance. Guide your clients to the right fit.
4×4 Standard
The entry-level standard. Provides enough coverage for a classic middle part or a very short side part.
5×5 Pro Choice
The industry favorite. The extra inch allows for a true “Behind the Ear” deep side part, mimicking a frontal look.
6×6 / 7×7 Mini Frontal
Maximum coverage without the need for adhesive (Glueless). Offers nearly the same versatility as a frontal.
Lace Science: HD vs. Transparent vs. Standard
Stop the confusion. “HD” is not just a marketing term—it’s a measurable difference in thickness and denier. Use this guide to stock the right lace for your target market.

BudgetB2B Stocking Strategy
Don’t overstock HD Lace unless you cater to high-end stylists. HD lace tears easily if the client is inexperienced. For general retail or glueless wig lines, Transparent Lace is the safest volume seller—it’s durable enough for beginners but thin enough to tint properly.
Ventilation Technology: The “Invisible” Knot
A closure is only as good as its knotting. We use a hybrid ventilation technique to balance hairline realism with structural durability.
Zone B: Crown Area
Zone A: 0.5″ Hairline
Single Knots (Hairline)
We use single-strand ventilation for the first 0.5 inches. This creates tiny, undetectable dots that mimic natural follicle growth, allowing for a “melted” look without plucking.
Double Knots (Crown)
Behind the hairline, we switch to double knots. This secures the hair firmly to the lace grid, reducing shedding during styling and extending the closure’s lifespan to 6+ months.
Density Architecture: The 130%-150% Rule
Thicker is not always better. A closure with uniform high density looks like a “helmet.” Our Gradual Density Protocol ensures a natural transition from hairline to crown.
Zone A: Hairline 90-100%
The first 0.5 inches mimic “baby hair” density. We use single knots here to prevent the harsh “wall of hair” effect common in cheap closures.
Zone B: Transition 120%
A specific buffer zone that blends the thin hairline into the main body. This prevents a visible line of demarcation between the forehead and the crown.
Zone C: Core 150%
The main body of the closure. High density is required here to ensure the weft tracks underneath are completely hidden, even when styled.

QC & Inspection Checklist
Lace integrity and ventilation quality are critical. Use this checklist to reject closures with weak grids or unnatural hairlines before you pay.
Lace Closure Audit Protocol
Standard acceptance criteria for wholesale orders.
-
Lace Grid Tension Test Pull lace in 4 directions. Grid must remain uniform (square) without tearing.
-
The “Balding” Light Check Hold up to light. Reject if large gaps or empty spots exist in the crown.
-
Hairline Plucking Gradient Hairline must be visibly less dense than the crown (Gradual Transition).
-
Knot Bleach Verification Knots should be brown (processed) not black (raw) or orange (over-bleached).
-
Free Part Flexibility Hair must part freely in left/right/middle directions without resistance.
Why the “Grid Test” is Vital
Cheap lace deforms when stretched, turning square holes into ovals. This causes the closure to ripple (buckle) on the client’s head, making it impossible to glue down flat. Always test the elasticity of the lace before accepting a batch.
If you are ordering HD Lace, do not perform the Tension Test too aggressively. True HD lace (0.14mm) is delicate by design. Check for tears under a magnifying glass instead of pulling hard.
